Fillers
Fillers or Dermal fillers involve injecting hyaluronic acid beneath the surface of the skin to add volume where it is lost. Hyaluronic acid is a compound naturally found in our bodies, such as our skin, eyes, and joints. It is hydrophilic, which means it helps pull or retain water which helps create an overall youthful and hydrated look. Dermal fillers are most used to treat areas like lips, cheeks, chin, temples, jawline, and fine lines or wrinkles.
This treatment is contraindicated for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have had an allergic reaction to hyaluronic acid in the past, or are taking blood thinners.

PRIOR TO TREATMENT
- Please fill out all waivers and contraindication forms prior to coming in to make sure you are a good candidate. Feel free to book a skin consult if you are unsure of anything.
- Avoid taking aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Aleve®, Celebrex®, Fish oil, and high doses of vitamin E for 7-10 days prior to procedure, as these may cause increased risk of bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s).
- Avoid alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior to procedure as this can increase the risk for bleeding and bruising at the treated site(s).
- Avoid Skin Irritants: Avoid applying any harsh skin products, such as retinoids or exfoliants, to the treatment area for few days before your procedure.
- Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or the use of hair removal creams in the area(s) to be treated.
- Take Tylenol® (if not contraindicated) 1 hour prior to your appointment to help with any discomfort you may have, if you have concerns about discomfort.
- If you have any history of Herpes Simplex (cold sores) on your face, make sure you inform the doctor that you have made your appointment with, one week prior to your appointment; this will allow us adequate time to prescribe a medication to prevent an outbreak.
- Sunburn skin is difficult to treat so avoid exposure to the sun.
- Eat a small meal or a snack before your appointment.
- Avoid dental procedures (including cleaning) 2 weeks pre filler and 2 weeks post filler.
POST-TREATMENT CARE
- Most reactions to dermal fillers are redness, swelling, bruising and tenderness after the injections. These usually subside a few days after the treatment but can last up to a week. If any of these symptoms persist longer than a week, or if you develop other symptoms, please contact us.
- Cold compresses may be used after the treatment to reduce swelling and decrease soreness. You may take Tylenol (if not contraindicated) every 4-6 hours after the treatment to help with any discomfort you may have.
- Make-up may be applied a few hours after the treatment, if no complications are present, such as open wounds, bleeding or infection.
- In the first 24 hours following treatment, limit exposure to sunlight or UV lamps. Extensive sun or heat exposure and alcoholic beverages may cause a temporary increase in redness, bruising or swelling at the injection sites. If there is persistent swelling or redness after the injections, you should limit exposure to sunlight or UV lamps until these symptoms subside (for at least 5-7 days). If sun exposure is unavoidable, use a sun block with an SPF of 30 or greater.
- Patients should avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours to prevent moving the filler or increasing blood flow to the face.
- Avoid taking aspirin (unless medically necessary) or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Advil®, Motrin®, Fish oil, doses of vitamin E for 5 days after the treatment, as these may cause an increased risk of bleeding or bruising at the injection sites.
- Avoid excessive touching or massaging the treated areas for about 6 hours after the injections. The treated areas can be washed with a gentle cleanser.
- Avoid dental procedure (including cleaning) 2 weeks post filler.
Benefits of Injectables-Fillers
Youthful Appearance
Using injectables, particularly fillers, is a great way to look more youthful. They function by restoring volume to the parts of the face that have lost suppleness and collagen over time. This has the power to significantly lessen the visibility of wrinkles and sagging skin, restoring a youthful and renewed appearance.
Natural-Looking Results
When applied by qualified specialists, fillers have the power to produce results that look natural. This means you can look younger without showing the unmistakable indications of cosmetic surgery. Fillers can be customized to fit your specific facial features and desired results because of their adaptability.
Other Services We Offer
